Unico Advanced Certification

Advanced certification courses are available to those who are Certified and
whose status is current under the guidelines of CPT. Each course Complete Unico System Installationis one day in
length. The Advanced Certification
Training is sequential so each
class must be taken in order. The
total tuition for the 3-day class is
$600.00 per student.

There are three certification
courses in the Advanced
Product Training class:

Advanced Unico System
Certification
This course is designed to give
the participant more hands on application of the Unico air delivery system. In the
course we will:

  • Review the rules of installation
  • Demonstrate how to break the rules to solve problems in the customer's
    lives and still have the system work
  • Provide and demonstrate advanced tools to simplify installation, trouble
    shooting, start and test and balancing the system
  • Provide greater understanding of maximum/minimum system operating
    parameters and their use in creating more Unico system applications in
    your market
  • Demonstrate Spot Cooling

Advanced UniChiller RC
The UniChiller RC course is designed to provide the participant with in depth
knowledge and hands on experience with the applications of the UniChiller. This
course will:

  • Review the rules of installation
  • Provide and demonstrate advanced tools to simplify installation, trouble
    shooting, start and test and balancing the system
  • Provide greater understanding of maximum/minimum system operating
    parameters and their use in creating more Unico system applications in
    your market
  • Review the Heat Pump cycle principle of operation and how it works in
    heating and cooling water
  • Review installation in residential, light commercial and industrial
    application
  • Provide tools to properly design, size and purchase components to pipe
    and pump the UniChiller
  • Install a multiple chiller and multiple air handler system

Advanced Control/Zoning:

In this course the student will receive detailed principles and hands on application
with the Advanced Control Board, Zoning and Chiller controls systems. In the
course we will:

  • Install, trouble shoot and start and test an Advanced Control Board using
    all of the possible board functions
  • Review the rules of installation for zoning the Unico System
  • Install, trouble shoot, balance and start and test a zoned Unico system up
    to 4 zones
  • Install and test advanced controls for UniChiller RC banking and staging in
    both cooling and heating
